AGE RATING

18 and over.

CheersFeed is an app for adults. You may use it if you are 18 or older — wherever you live.

Last updated: 8 October 2026

Why 18 and not 16

CheersFeed is about nights out with friends — and on those nights there is often alcohol on the table too. We could follow each country’s own minimum age — in Switzerland and Germany beer and wine start at 16, spirits at 18. We don’t. One rule, the same everywhere, no footnotes: 18 and over.

That is deliberately stricter than required. An app in which nights with alcohol become visible does not belong in an age bracket where much of the surrounding company is not allowed to drink at all.

Store ratings

Apple App Store
18+ — the highest age rating, because of the references to alcohol.
Google Play
18+ via the IARC questionnaire, with alcohol references declared.
Audience
Adults. CheersFeed is not aimed at children or teenagers and is not marketed to them.

What we never do

  • We do not sell alcohol and we broker no purchases. No shop links, no delivery services, no vouchers.
  • We do not count drinks. The app counts moments, and a moment does not need a drink at all. The social score, too, counts shared moments, not glasses. There is no leaderboard comparing who drank more.
  • No drinking challenges. No contests, no streaks, no badges and no rewards — nothing that pushes you to keep going.
  • No advertising that pushes you to drink. Advertising and paid partnerships with drinks brands, venues or event organisers may appear — chosen by us, clearly labelled as advertising and visibly separate from the moments. It never targets minors and never encourages more drinking (Art. 42b AlkG). A venue someone names in a moment is their private note, not an ad.

How age is checked

Before you first use the app you confirm the terms of use and the privacy policy as well as the notice on alcohol and responsibility — and enter your date of birth. Nothing is pre-filled; anyone under 18 by that date does not get past that screen. The date of birth stays stored with your account. We record when you agreed and to which version; if the texts change materially, we ask again.

Reporting an account

Every moment and every comment can be reported in the app, every person blocked. On top of that, an image classifier automatically checks every uploaded moment for nudity and violence. If you believe an account belongs to a minor, write to team@slackers.dev. We look at reports within 24 hours.

When drinking becomes a problem

This app is not a reason to drink more. The numbers in it are a look back, not a target — a night with a glass of water counts exactly as much here as any other. If alcohol is taking up more room than it should, for you or someone around you, there is free and anonymous help:
